On May 24 - 25, Moscow's Expocenter (Sokolniki) hosted EcomExpo 17, the largest ecommerce fair in Russia and Eastern Europe.

This year, about 8,000 people visited the fairgrounds. All of them have some connection to the world of ecommerce. About 250 Russian and foreign companies offering various services and products to e-merchants set up their booths at EcomExpo 17.

Initlab, Drupal Coder's parent company, was one of those 250 exhibitors.

We showcased AR (augmented reality) and VR (virtual reality) products.we now offer, recent additions to the range of services rendered by Initlab and Drupal Coder. The highlight was the AR app we developed for retailers. Sergey Sinitsa, our second in command, presented the app at the plenary session, which gathered the most interesting ecommerce startups. Exports voted our AR app above all other projects shown and gave us the certificate.

We also brought to EcomExpo 17 the updated n1commerce the Drupal-based ecommerce platform that offers infinite possibilities. It should be noted here that we were the only representative of the Drupal community at the fair. We were happy to give the audience Drupal and its capacities, but hearing something along the lines of "So Drupal is like Bitrix?" every now and then was not exactly pleasant. It would be great if those working with Drupal were more active in promotion of the brand. It deserves it, really.

All in all, EcomExpo 17 was a success for us. We got over fifty leads interested in our products and met a lot of interesting people and projects. Colleagues and customers gave us good feedback and recommendations pertaining to further development of our products.

Here is a short video report covering our participation in EcomExpo 17.
